Usage based billing is actually Unmetered Billing allows customers to be billed without using physical meter readings. Instead of consumption from a meter, billing is based on externally provided usage or predefined operational inputs.

Purpose of Unmetered Billing

Unmetered billing is useful when:
  • No physical meter exists
  • Usage comes from another system
  • Flat-rate charging is required
  • Consumption is estimated externally

Unmetered Usage Sources

Usage may come from:
  • External systems
  • Uploaded files
  • Operational spreadsheets
  • Manual consumption inputs
  • Third-party integrations

Upload Unmetered Usage Data

Instead of uploading meter readings, the system accepts usage datasets that represent customer consumption or billable quantities. These uploads become the source for billing calculations. These readings represent the customer’s actual Usage of Billing cycle. 1- Go to Billspree →Billing →Meter Readings 2- Select Reference type UnMeter Usage
